Here we go)
There is still much snow outside today)
That's what I've started on Feb29 and March 6-11...
66 tomato varieties, 15 sweet peppers, 2 hot peppers.
...and a piece of urban Minsk area out of my window) Looks much like in USSR times indeed)))

Pappi,

it is always like that till the end of March or even early April here in Zone 4a. Our winter begins later and usually ends later during last several years... Something with a climate)

I used to grow at least 50-80% of new varieties every year to try something new and to be excited. 75% this year...
There are many of them unknown outside CIS and I hope to share them with international gardeners via Tville, SSE Yearbook and my longtime friends later as always

hi andrey,

we have much snow here too. we got a dumping over st. paddys day. we are never sure when the last snowfall is going to be here. the month of may is usually safe, not always.
i just planted 18 varieties of peppers today. tomatoes will be planted the beginning of april. one of these days, i'm gonna get myself a green house too.

Today I got to know I need a new cold frame, because wind and snow had broken my old one. I've built it 8 years ago from wood. Wood is not timeless... We've already clean this place, I've reassemble all parts...
Spring is already here...

If you got 8 seasons from your cold frame in those conditions, you must have built a very strong structure.

Seems like the only sure thing with a greenhouse is maintenance and repairs!

But they are necessary in climates like ours.

We've got first snow just before New Year and had it until last Friday...
I repaired only coat several times. The main structure was quite strong.
Now this is the empiest and sunniest place in the garden near neighbour's house. Must be good for cucumber tunnel...

More activity in greenhouse with Margarita. Radish, spinach, rukkola, corn lettuce and some flowers had been started for early May crop and flower transplants...
