One of my all-time favourites. Almost a permanent feature in the summer garden.

I loved the egg carton pic. $5 is good for that since the plant gives so many. I need to grow it again; I remember it being really productive with perfect looking fruit.
What cherries did you grow that were /weren't a waste of time? |

(2) SunGold : both are tastin great but one has a lot of splitters (we've had 4" downpours then nothing for a week) Snow White: grow a couple every year and have never been disappointed. Riesentraube : second year heavy producer! Barry's Crazy Cherry : millions of small grape tomatos that taste Great! Shake the plant and the ripe ones fall to the ground, easy harvest. Brad's Atomic Grape : mine are just starting to get ripe... When they are, the taste is hard to beat. And lots of them. Egg Yolk :tomato is an interesting color, but flavorless, and the plants are sprawling and not productive. Pink Bumble Bee : Awsum production, and taste Indigo Blueberries : Grest Color! No Flavor! Matt's Wild Cherry : tons of flavor in a blueberry sized tomato Japanese Pink Cherry : they taste great! So far, not many of them... I need to walk the row of them tomorrow and do another taste test! |

Every Snow White plant I have planted has gone down fast to disease. Never again.
Egg Yolk - does well and has a good taste here in Atlanta. Climate really matters! |

Atomic Grape is really good here too; bad splitter for me once it rains; even moreso than SunGold. I've grown twice now; I think since it was first introduced. Pink Bumblebee - productive and beautiful fruit; just super bland; grown in a container like all my fruits. Barry's Crazy Cherry - grew once but the plant died; then I didn't hear good things so didn't bother. This '17-18 season for cherries I grew mainly hybrids from the Sun Series, Esterina plus Sakaru; all were great. I like thin skinned tomatoes; especially cherry tomatoes Have you tried Marsha/KarenO KARMA PINK? It is also great although mine were ping pong ball size and larger. Will definitely grow again. I want to try Maglia Rose and Blush again. I remember liking Blush and think I waited too long to pick MR when I grew it; it was determinate for me. Hopefully, they don't have thick skin. The one year I don't grow Egg Yolk and wish I did as most of my cherries are sub par. Egg Yolk's taste is a bit different. Not too sweet, no tartness at all and a somewhat soft flesh. I can understand why it didn't rank. It might be an acquired taste.

I'm pretty sure, purple bumble bees were black Vernissage given away by Baker Creek...
I have this (1 plant) Awsum red grape tomato with a ? For a name tag... Big producer, may be a Grapapoli drying tomato? Rose Quartz (not a cherry tomato) more of a large saladette, but it is multiflora Pics soon |

My Black Verns had identical coloring, but were significantly larger than PBB. Yield was high, but the fruit had a tendency to be hollow, perhaps from sun scald. I like Bola Maciza much better as a dark saladette.

What is Atomic Salad? Did you create that from Atomic Grape?
Your pictures look really good. You have better classic coloring in AG than I get. |

Yes Atomic Salad is my own creation, a large saladette started from Atomic Grape..
I grew 6 or so Atomic Grapes a few years ago and one threw large saladette so I decided to grow them... at F3 and F4 I'm seeing lots of variation, but the taste is awesome . Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Bumping thread, I sent out some Atomic Salad seeds awhile back, just wondering how they did.
Wild Boar Farms released 4 new varieties a couple days ago, one is called Atomic Fusion which is a larger Brad's Atomic Grape... Sounds like the Atomic Salad I've been growing out. |
