nice. I really liked this one. I just planted up my first one today. I think I am going to put one in the small greenhouse and hopefully enjoy a few before the end of the Summer.

Hudson, I so appreciate your meticulous documentation of all the phases of growth for the varieties you try. Obviously, we have to account for the fact that you're growing in a heated greenhouse and not expect the same experience as you, but it really helps me get a feel for those varieties' character. Thanks!

Thanks Gorbelly - I agree with what you said. I have a huge advantage growing in a GH and outcomes will vary with location and growing conditions. But, we do usually learn by sharing our growing methods and results!

Dwarf Golden Gypsy - photos taken on 4/27/2016. These two plants are over 4' in height with no signs of stoping. The foliage - with the huge leaves - cover the fruit. They are very prolific - even more so than New Big Dwarf - at the moment.

I am also growing Dwarf Goldfinch for the Dwarf Project. It is 2 1/2 months later because I was late requesting seeds for the project.

Dwarf Golden Gypsy seeds were planted on January 1st - They are just now blushing on May 15th. Thats approximately 135 days from seed. Dwarfs are a slower growing variety.

It appears I also have some possible water spotting on a couple of fruit. I never water the foliage but I forgot to close the shut-off lever a couple of times on the sprinkler head and the Dwarf Golden Gypsy took the direct hit - haha.

Dwarf Golden Gypsy got dressed up for a Sunday Photo - I can't wait to taste it but I am going it give it a couple of days to make sure DGG is ripe!

I agree with others who have grown Dwarf Golden Gypsy and stated that DGG is not a sweet tasting yellow - but rather has a tangy taste. I have not eaten that many yellows but I did like the taste ! Here is a photo the shows the inside of a DGG.

I used to think that yellow/gold tomatoes are sweet. Not necessarily true. I grew Azoychka last year . It had a good balanced taste but not sweet. I am growing it again. Plus another one called "Sakharnyi Zheltyi" ( translated from Russian = sugary yellow). Well, I'll find out how sugary is in about 45days, as it has flowers.
Here is a picture showing an Azoychka. I recommend it. It was prolific in my garden.

Azoychka really is a darling! My mother took such a liking to it that i have to give her a seedling every year (She otherwise dislikes tall indet varieties for the heavy staking needs) ..
A very prolific to the point of profusiveness - and the name is lovely. (from Arabic - Azza, comfort: allegedly, a common female Jewish name in Russia)
