I want to see how the one marked "EGGS" does. It would be much easier than keeping chickens if the taste is good. They look nice and healthy.

Do you use promix as a seed starter too? Is that your new Bonnie mix in the white buckets? It looks perfect, so do your pretty little plants.

I'm too cheap to go out and buy dedicated seed starting pots. The egg cartons work fine until the first true leaves appear. then into either paper coffee cups or red solo cups. I buy those anyway so its cheap

Marsha, I use Pro Mix to start. I usually run it through a strainer to lighten and fluff it up.

The buckets have Pro Mix/Pine fines blend. The peppers should be ready to plant out this week. Those will get the Bonnie's. The Bushel Stop had a bag open so I could feel/inspect it. Feels remarkably like Pro Mix. Maybe a touch moister out of the bag, but that doesn't matter. Once you get plants into it, you're watering anyway so you end up with the same thing, moist potting mix.

Now, I need to find a cheap and easy way to support all these plants.

I forgot to mention what I'm growing.

I have two of each, one in the larger container and one in the 5 gal bucket.
In order, Ardwyna, Lithium Sunset, GGWT, and Neves Azorean Red. Rebel Alliance and Franchi Red Pear are going out this week,

And the peppers go out this week also, as long as I have the time. Growing Leutschaur, Poblano, Doux de Espagna and Orange Bells

I think it is a great use of the egg cartons.

Question: Should I pinch them and let the plant mature some, or should I let it rip and see what comes of it?

Supposed to start cooling down at the end of next week, I would leave them alone.
