Natures Fiery
Hi,
No questions for quite some time. Had a TRUELY unexpected rain/wind storm today. Out of Blue. I was caught off guard. I have recently placed over 30 varieties of young peppers, hot and mild out for the season. They are drooped over a lot. Should I go immediately and set plants upright or wait to see how they behave. Tomato & Pepper lover. Thanks, Marian |

We had 50-60 mph straight line winds come thru after about 6" of rain last night. I now have a tangled mess of tomato plants, some were broken off.

Help them gently. They will come out of it just fine. Sorry you both are going through this.

The countries storms have been all over the news this morning. So sorry for all affected.
Yes, most recover. Even the bent stems can bounce back. Hardy fellas. When that happens i decide who gets special attention and tend the most important first.... Like velcro they are when tangled. My leggy ones started way early have been outside for a couple weeks and now are under a folding table with soil bags on top weighing it down. Some younger ones i have moved into the garage for the night. Fortunately they have each other to lean against when storms hit. Tuck them all tight together fluffing up-right against the home out of the weather. Or under a table. They need to dry out. |

I'm pretty sure my plants are "hardened off"!
I went and got a bunch of bamboo Shish ka bob sticks at Dollar General a buck a pack... They look much better already. |

That is awful! So glad your babies are OK! I always worry about hail here in SC destroying my mature plants. I guess it just goes with the hobby!!
