I have not done it but it is not a difficult task.
There are several root stocks sold. Some are very expensive some are not. The cheapest one is Big Beef.

It was hardy for me last year. I am growing it again this year. It tasted better consistently, even during a rainy spells.

Ask AlittleSalt about Pinky Blast. He grew it last year.
Sophie's Choice is determinate, I never grew it.
The rest look like indeterminate.

If grown without pruning, Maglia Rosa will be bushy and low growing. If lower leaves and branches are trimmed, you can get it to vine up.

The name of this thread is good for me... everything very tentative in 2016. Space is the final frontier, but maybe time will be a contender too.

In spite of the unresolved ??? I finally started seeds anyway. I kept back a few seeds at least of every variety, to try again next year in case this lot get abandoned and or hucked into the great outdoors in bad weather. Many of my F3's are destined for outdoors anyway, because there is no room at the inn! I'm actually thankful

that my friend had a damping off problem while out of town, because the perished sungolds have made room for some of my random cherries and small fruit.

So here is what I have up:

Mazarini - new to me
VB Russia - new to me
Pervaya Lyubov - repeat, so early!
Kitten Paws Pink F3 - half dozen, looking for saladette sizes
RED
Altajsij Urozajnij - repeat, so sweet!
Rodney X A.U. F1 - will be red, size/shape variable, hopefully early - 3 plants
Hope's Early F3 - 3. extra early, soft red hearts
Hope's Early X Winter Sky F1 - exploring genetics of texture (firmness) 2
three F1 crosses with Black Nipper (2 plants each) expect indet red cherries, long shapes.
