Ella, as usual I love your pictures and descriptions of all your lovely tomatoes! My tomato picking season is done. I have a few tomatoes for a few more BLT's, and a small pail of tomatoes to make some fresh sauce. It was a great year for maters for us both!

October 17 we have prediction of 36 degrees at night. ):
I am letting all the green tomatoes to stay on the vine for now. Claude Brown’s Y. Giant has 3 huge fruits and some medium size as well. NOT Carbon is still producing as well (more than 26 pounds are picked from single plant so far). Girl Girl's Weird Thing and JD's Special C-Tex each have few nice size tomatoes. I am picking tomatoes with just a blush. Hoping for a few more weeks without freeze.

Zenbaas, it is definitely worth growing. The other one I would recommend is Blackberry. Sweet heaven. Taste like candy, sweet and bit of acidity too. Not bland at all.

O boy, predictions are getting worse and worse. Now we are expecting as low as 34 degrees. I am not happy at all. It is toooo... soon.
It is fine to get first freeze in November, mid October is just not

Sorry to hear that Ella. I have stuff blooming, and the opposite thing is going on, overnight low was 79, 9 degrees hotter than it should be, and 9 degrees hotter than fruit is likely to set in. Aaannnddd- of course I have blossoms on some now.
