About 10 years ago we had a problem we solved with catch and release. Release across the river. As ground squirrels they climbed the apricot trees. Ripe apricots, eat the pits and throw the pulp on the ground. One had a hole in the squash patch, when I poured 10 gallons of water in, it came running out. I washed in a wheelbarrow of dirt before the hole plugged up. There was no pile of dirt near the entrance so where did it go?
