Default Green tomatoes turning black

Hi Everyone!

I am relatively new to the forum and this is my first post.

I have a small balcony garden and am unable to identify the disease affecting a couple of my tomato plants. It seems to only be affecting the immature green fruits on a couple varieties of my tomatoes. I am growing mostly heirloom varieties but the two affected are early girl and a beefsteak tomato. The fruits turn a brownish, almost black color near where the blossom was. It looks most similar to buckeye rot or late blight. I don't think it's late blight having dealt with it before and the reason i'm unsure if it's buckeye rot is because its hitting the fruits that are no where near the soil.

I am new to North Carolina and am encountering many issues that I have never had with my garden before. I've never had this much trouble with a garden in NY having had one since I can remember.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
