How to package seeds for trade?
This year I will finally be able start trading seed. I have some fermenting as we speak. For those of you who trade seeds, what do you pack them in? Do you make your own paper packets or do you use little plastic zipper baggies? For those of you using resealable baggies, do you have a source you could recommend?
Thanks! Megan |

I use staples No.1 Coin Envelopes.
Very easy to do and pack in an envelope for shipping. Seeds are normally stored in glass vials with plastic screw tops. Lee

i use the little plastic ziplock bags from Michael's because they're cheap at 1.25 cents each, much cheaper than the coin envelopes at my Staples. also, they're reusable.

I also use the little Ziploc's from Michael's Craft Store and mainly because they are reusable. I often don't use all the seed's of a particular type in one go and I assume most people I trade with might not either. The paper envelopes are great but having to find a replacement whenever I don't use the entire contents always annoys me so I switched to plastic Ziploc's.

I use the plastic ziploc type too. I get them in the craft store or section of Walmart for $.99/50. I like seeing how much I have. I just write the name/year of the variety on a small slip of paper and put in there with the seeds so the bag can be reused.

I also use the little plastic ziplock bags 2"x2", I buy them at Dollar STore for $1 per 100 bags.
If I need to store larger quantities of seeds (or larger seeds), I use larger ziplock bags. I like them because I can see the seeds inside and always know how many I have without opening the thing
