Default cucumbers turning yellow when not picked soon enough?

Hi,
I am growing Boston Pickling cukes and some were hiding where I didn't see them and they got very big and fat (for pickling cukes) and also sort of yellow. But they seem firm. Are they bad now? Will they taste OK? I was going to give them to a neighbor but I want to make sure they will taste OK (without tasting them).

I sliced & pickled yellow ones last year. They tasted the same...put em' in the same jars as yellow zucchini pickes & they made a nice mix.

The only problem that I had was that the seeds were way too large for pickles but I hate to waste anything. The kids pick the seeds out (picky kids - one won't eat tomatoes), but I don't mind them & no one who ended up with pickle jars complained - all came back for 2nd , 3rd jars....

I have eaten yellow ones with no bad taste, but they do get a little seedy. Really kind of depends on how long they have been yellow. I did find a diner for mine, seems my chickens can't get enough of them. I slice them right down the middle lengthwise and the chickens leave nothing but the skin.
