The Packers took the Green Bay weather with them down to Texas the other day !!!
Wisconsin got hit pretty bad with the snow. Most areas got a foot or more of snow and now it's COLD, like zero and below. But we are mostly used to that stuff. The part of the storm that Texas got produced some snow but mostly ICE. Coupled with the fact that the temps have stayed cold, makes it tough for them. Not used to that stuff and don't have the equipment for it either. We are seeing all the Texas problems partly due to all the Super Bowl coverage. The reporters down there weren't prepared for cold at all. The bad part of the heavy snow is that it also had high winds and blew all over the place into some huge drifts. Hopefully it won't be like 3 or 4 winters ago. That late winter we had so much deep snow between the barn and the greenhouse we couldn't get out there to get it started at our usual time. We were nearly a month late and had a hard time getting plants ready in time for the farmers markets. Stay warm, Carol |

We are getting sleet at this moment. frigid cold (for us anyway). Fireplace is dying down and about to jump into bed with lots of covers. Toss up right now if we will work in the morning. Construction companies are really having a hard time the past few weeks getting jobs in. Everyone is right in that there is not enough experienced ice and snow drivers here. But to our defence we do great in heat We had rolling blackouts in Tyler yesterday. Just as I would get internet working it would shut off again.

Talked to my sister and brother in law tonight who are in the San Antonio area for the winter. She told me that they were having sleet and expecting an inch of snow tonight. Also, that many people were upset about the rolling blackouts...some hospitals were affected too... |

Yea the hospitals, nursing homes and colleges were affected as well by the blackouts. The hospitals were not fully warned ahead of time here so they were really upset
