I use the red and white Solo cups quite a bit also. I found that they were great in the 18 pot inserts in the standard trays, IF I alternate with the 3-3½ inch pots. Instead of getting 18 cups bumping each other I get nine cups and 9 pots. When I transplant I put the taller plants in the pots and so they are not overshadowed by the cups. They even out by selling time. Just started 200 Dwarfs-how it's getting to be that time.

so...........how much do you sell your plants for that are in the red cups?
I have been using white small styrofoam cups and have been getting $2.50 each but they are
larger plants about a foot tall.

Sometimes when it is late in the season I start giving away more.

I have always used thin, clear, pale green cups like you can get (16 to the dollar) at the dollar tree. I like the clear ones because I can see what's going on with the root system.

However, this year I found some really nice little pots that look more like your average nursery pots, with precut holes on the bottom and all that fancy stuff!

(I hope I haven't jinxed myself by trying to upgrade. The cheapo kind always did just fine!)

that is a great set up ! looks like a handy furry helper you have also.
i hear you on the lowering the seeds in the packets. i m finding that in many other places are doing the same thing . i don't save seeds as i know i should but i will plead lazy on it LOL

I am really upset, I don't think I am going to be able to sell any plants. Every one of the plants are very curled up, and they look terrible. I am so disappointed. I sprayed the sulfur because of the russet mites, and I thought I got rid of them, but they just look so bad I don't know if I can even try to sell them.
I sprayed a weak solution of fish emulsion and water, but it does not seem to be doing any good

So here are some pictures of what the plants look like. Do you think they look like they are ok? Should I try and sell them? I don't feel right about trying to sell plants that may have something wrong with them, but I don't know if this is just wind damage or not

I know some of the leaves are past damage from russet mites. I have examined those with a 40x lens, and have not found any mites do far this week.
