If you plan on making a light hood to grow your seedlings under this year send me a "PM" as to what you are planning and maybe I can give you some CFL's for your project. They are 23watt 6400k bulbs that only require a regular screw in light bulb base. I can't use them as they are for 60hz (USA) operation. Ami

dcarch, voltage was never the problem as I planned to use a transformer or wire them in series as pairs. They just won't fire on 50hz. I do have a 48vdc power supply and a 500watt 48vdc to 115vac 60hz inverter I could use but just don't want to hassle it. Ami

OK, got my 26watt, 6400k, 50hz, CFL's. Mounted my light fixture to my bench and fired it up. In another 3 weeks will be sowing seed into my "Jump Start 81" Pellet Greenhouse. Same as Jiffy 7's sold by HydroFarm. Here's some pictures of it lit up. Ami
