Default What a change in less than one month...

Couple of pictures to show the difference about one month (and a lot of rain) can do...

No...no pepper...wish they got that big. All tomatoes...

Paul...I grew up in NE...most of family in the Grand Island area...so they have been telling me about the lack of rain and such.

I remember when you posted that first picture. How's the Florida Weave working for you?

The Florida weave turned out pretty good...I was going to post a topic about it...or bring up the old one. I was just talking about the system in depth with my neighbor this morning. We are both impressed with how well it kept the plants stable and supported. We have had some pretty good winds and a ton of rain...no problems at all. I have used heavy jute and that has worked out fine so far. It really allows easier access to the plant and fruit than the cages I made. I expect to use the Florida weave on both rows next year. I am going to spend the money and get some taller posts. The posts on the end are heavy duty T-post...but only 6' tall...I had one medium grade green post that I put in the middle--that one does not have to be heavy dute and worked fine. I would like to find some 8 or 9" posts... may have to travel a bit and find a farm store.

Overall, the system gets my vote!
