1 lb 6 oz of goodness! Very solid and VERY tasty! About an 8 or so. Salt made the flavor so much deeper!

A few more have popped up on the plant so thank goodness it won't be the last.

Flavor alone will bring it back next year.

Tam had sent me several fruits to taste when she first grew this one, and I agree it's a winner. At the time we were discussing what the variety should be named and she was in touch with the family who gave her the seeds and I think she would agree that our dicussion about names was very amusing from time to time.

She sent me some seeds and they were given to one of my seed producers for seed production last summer and I'll be listing it with my now very late 2015 seed offer this summer.

But as long she has seeds for it I prefer that folks get seeds from her b'c she's having a great time with this one, but if she runs out she also knows I have her back on seeds for this one.

Haha I think I horrified you Carolyn with a few of the ideas they had for names, and I was indeed amused

I am so glad you enjoyed them - I haven't found many reds I love, but I do love this one.

So far I have plenty of seeds - I grew 3 plants in isolation, and saved the seed from all the fruits, so no danger of running out yet. But I am just happy to see the variety being preserved, so if folks want seed from me, or from your offer, I am perfectly fine with either.

My George Desitikas are flowering! They went in 25 days ago, right at the end of May. The blooms are so large my son said that they remind him of tiny sunflowers! I can't wait to try this one!
