Information about Dwarf Bendigo Rose?
I'm growing DBR for the first time, and it is getting huge! It is already past the top of its 4-ft cage after being planted less than a month ago? I realize that it is a cherry, so it might be a bigger plant, but this is dramatic. All the other dwarfs are behaving as expected.
I'm on the fence as to pulling this one and using the EarthBox space for something else. Any feedback from developers/previous growers of this one? -GG |

If it is growing really tall - and the foliage is not rugose - it is a stray seed or an off type - sounds indeterminate. The Snowy cherries should all behave as typical dwarfs.

I grew Dwarf Bendigo Rose for several seasons. It is on the tall side more of a indeterminate dwarf . I took a picture of my Dwarf Bendigo Rose plant today still in the 4 inch pot. I will upload tonight so you can compare your foliage.

Thanks for the replies. It is somewhat rugose, but the degree of this seems to vary quite a bit among the dwarfs. I look forward to seeing the picture.

Thanks! Those are nice looking plants. It is raining now (yay!) so I'll check later today and see if I can tell anything. My gut feel is that something isn't right with this plant.
