Default Good ole Yellow Straightneck

I love this squash. It's the only type I've ever grown and if something taste better fried in butter with onions please tell me.

I would agree that Early Prolific Straightneck is a good squash but I think Golden Bush Scallop is even better. It's my favorite variety of summer squash or zucchini and I think the best way to eat it is dipped in beaten egg, then coated with Italian bread crumbs, then fried in a little oil in a skillet, then dipped in marinara. I can't wait. Along with tomato sandwiches, corn on the cob and watermelon, this is one of the best summer foods I can think of. Yum!!
