Unusual Black Krim Slice
Hi,
I cut-up a black krim this evening and have attached a photo of a slice. I've never noticed anything quite like this, although I did check Tania's site and some google images of sliced black krims. This particular fruit seems to have more of a solid central red section, smaller locules, and sort of an odd sort of gelatinous center with an additional white center through this. I've seen photos of black krim slices sort of tending in this direction, but nothing so clear-cut. What conditions contribute to this sort of fruit development? I've also gotten large yellow tomatoes (forget the variety) with a similar gelatinous center core appearance (only dark yellow, rather than red, of course). Thanks for any answers or opinions! Anne |
