One plant. I only have 6 tomatoes in total due to space, so I sure hope it's not some never-ripe.

A couple of shots of Green Bee. No doubt it’s going to be very prolific!

Here is an updated picture. Seems reasonably close to what it should have been, I guess. I also see in other pictures that they have a slight tip.

Now, do you have one of those in RED?
Seriously, any other colors in the works that have the similar characteristics? -GG |

We have another long-shelf-life tomato released called Madera, that is brown with green shoulders.
It doesn't have extreme shelf life, but it lasts a couple weeks at room temperature. We are working on similar varieties that are red, yellow, orange, purple etc. |

Here’s a couple of photos of GB. I’m anxiously waiting for them to ripen! Not sure the photos do them justice.

I picked one - couldn’t resist. It’s sitting on my counter. Will keep you posted!

I ate the first one, was slightly pinkish inside. Will probably wait more next time, the skin was really chewy, and it did indeed remind of the skin of plum in taste. The flavour otherwise was very green-tiger-like, but milder, will see later fruits.

Green Bee has done really well in our garden this year. I have harvested a couple dozen so far. It's a firm tomato and very tasty for a green tomato. I've used them in Salsa and Taco meat so far with great results. I'm going to try them in a tomato based hot sauce next, and might try to pickle some.
I found a local Chef interested in working with Green Bee to see what he can come up with. I just need some more to ripen to get him the quantity he's looking for. It's a keeper in our Garden! |

Green Bee looks interesting, was wondering how folks are doing with the crunchiness?
Not really a texture guy, but crunchy and good tomato are not yet linked in my experience. GWR's are some of my favorites, does it taste along those lines, or is it really unique? Will have to grow it anyway, just wondering what to expect. Thx |
