Default Cereza Amarilla

Hi all
Happy New year to all Tvillians!
A kind soul sent me some Cereza Amarilla seeds. I remember reading about it here, but the search function brought up only a few posts. (and I checked Tatiana's database - not much infor there)
I know it's PL, and probably very tasty.. Looking for more details from those folks, who have grown it and liked it.
Apart from the leaf form, anything worth knowing?

I got seeds for a few other yellow cherries, and will try a few of them this year. How would CA compare with, lets' say.... (no I won't say SunGold )

I think it is also known as Ciliegia Gialla which is a Mexican yellow cherry variety.

Here's a quick update.

The CA seedling is the most vigorous of all ten varieties that have so far germinated:
very clear PL leaves, and I am really curious to see the growth habit.

Will keep on posting when something new comes up

Are you having a cold spring so far? Would you consider it cold hardy as a seedling?

The spring has been quite cool... the last days have been sunnier. My balcony is fully glass-paneled, so it gives plenty of advantage. I keep the CA on the balcony several hours a day and take it indoors for the night.

I think you may have it backwards.

Cereza Amarilla is Spanish for Yellow Cherry.

Ciliegia Gialla is Italian for Yellow Cherry.

I can only praise this variety.
In this crazy tropical weather, CA has enjoyed and produced fruit in the hottest spot of the garden - next to a brick wall. It is loaded with fruits already and pushing more flowers every day.
Wonderful!
(while it has the hottest location, I also gave it the largest container at my disposal, so it has plenty of room for roots.)
