Default sweet banana peppers

this is my first time with these peppers...how do i know when they are ready for picking? just size? do they change color? any help would be appreciated!

They change to red but usually people pick and eat them when they are still in the unripe yellowish stage. Kinda like how most people pick jalepeno while they are still green. As far as i know you can pick them any time you like though. Personally I pick them when im hungry and they look big enough.
