Looks like you have a good start and if you are successful I can see some grass disappearing in the future. I hope that isn't a pecan tree near your garden. They send out the worst roots into the garden and have to be spaded out every year. My neighbor had a large pecan tree 50 ft from my garden and it would send out these fine wiry roots that would fill up my beds nearest the tree. Thankfully it got blown over 3 weeks ago in that bad storm we had.

Its an Ash tree -- Emerald ash borers are moving into the area so in next 5 years I bet it will be gone.

Hard Ash wood makes pretty good coals for grilling and BBQ.

Forecasted low of 35 and patchy frost last night and tonight.

Picked up some T posts to start the weave this week.

Started the weave. I gave everything a small shot of miracle grow and man did things pop! This is our first year with lettuce, how do you know when its ready?

Burpee sent my Jersey boy, BrandyBoy, and SuperSauce. The packaging has them a little roughed up but i'm excited for them!!
