I started mine today. I am totally addicted to petting fuzzy plants so even if it doesn't produce well it will get a lot of attention from me.

Glad to see it growing for you, Richard! Mine are about 18 inches tall right now with flower buds. Even if it produces nothing edible, it is a lovely little thing. Thank you for the seeds, Remy.

My sister and I are growing Roughwood Golden Tiger, and hers is producing really well. (Mine is in an area with crappy soil, so not its fault.) I'll definitely grow it again because of its odd foliage and fruit. The small/medium-sized fruits were red with orange striping. Our seeds were from Baker Creek heirloom seeds- tho last time I checked they no longer had RGT listed. (Recently saw them listed at Sample Seed Shop.)

The foliage looks wimpy- this is not poor growth or disease; it is just the habit of the plant. It can be droopy.

Fruit should look like this:

Paul, mine looks very similar to yours. First time growing it for me as well and I'm glad you posted the pic, since I wasn't sure if the droopy look was normal. I'm used to it for the wispy types, but the hairy little plant was so robust as a seedling, that that I was wondering if it had developed some kind of problem after setting out in the garden. One of mine has set three grape sized green tomatoes.

Paul,
You are going to love the tomatoes! Here's a couple pics I took last year from last year.

I have grown it...even used it for some possible crosses.

1 caveat, the fruit is rather firm & frankly, lacking in taste.

It is attractive foliage & pretty fruit, I'll give you that!

My plant is a fuzzy runt! It is next to PawPaw & Monkey A$$ - both nearing 5 feet but little Roughwood is barely 2 feet tall!! It is healthy looking with those peculiar lop eared looking fuzzy leaves & stout trunk - I LOVE the bluish color with the fuzz on top - hard not to stroke it like a bunny but he's a little feller. Been sooooooo hot here my fruit set is almost non-existent so I can't say that's a special problem for the plant - but I so wnt it to set fruit!
