Default KarenO’ 2021 tomatoes

I’ll post all of my non-dwarf varieties I’m growing this year here
Just getting started with seedlings getting their first set of leaves in the house. This will include all of my project tomatoes except the dwarfs. The dwarfs will be in the “ short and sweet” 2021 thread.
I’m also lucky enough to be growing some trial hybrid varieties from Fred at Artisan Seeds along with some others and I’ll make a separate thread for the Artisan plants.
Happy to get the season going and I wish everyone a great year!

I'm excited to see what you'll have growing. I just potted up my seedlings today. I have Karma Peach, Karma Apricot, Polaris, Taiga, and True Colours all growing beautifully among my other varieties. I can't wait!!!!

Well, I grew (and loved) True Colours and Polaris last year. Absolute standouts, which is why they are back again. The other three are new to me and I am very excited to try them.

Karen, as usual, you amaze me and us! Looking forward to your grow outs and reports. I have really cut back this year and can’t grow out all your amazing toms! I’m hoping to expand a bit more next year, but I will live vicariously off of yours!

Thanks! It’s been a hobby of mine to maintain it since 2012 and it’s grown to have more than 18,000 followers which still surprises me

Plants are out in the little greenhouse and cold frame now. Coming along, aiming for planting out in another three weeks or so

Trying to remember to take photos the right way for TV
May 1 in my little cold frame, greenhouse and garden. Seedlings are looking strong and I’m pleased with things so far. The cold frame seedlings almost big enough to sell and the ones in the greenhouse are mine and a little further ahead.
The yearly game of how much can I get in the greenhouse is well started and as usual, quite a few big potato leaves in the mix

Karen, your plants look great. I hope you enjoy a great growing season. I know my anticipation is very high this time of year! This month often causes me a lot of problems from storms and very heavy rain. But so far, so good.

Default Work

threw out 40 lbs of 5-10-10, tilled it in and set 6 Pineapple and 6 German Johnson this moring. Already had 12 Big Beef and two Pink Ponderosa. Still have 60 to go and 6ft stakes for all. My time of year for sure.

May 11 starting to get a little crazy around here. Ready to sell the ones in the cold frame and there will be 30 more gone today so I’m hoping by the end of the weekend to have made a big dent in transplanting and selling these seedlings. I love this time of year! I’m on my annual “ garden vacation” off work to get it all done before the 25 I hope.
