slow gemination seeds

I plant May 24th hopefully here we are 1/2 mile from coast and get cold wind ever afternoon till June anyway. I started my tomatoes too early the last 2 years, but i remember some herbs and peppers took forever to grow from seed. S i started Pepperdew, Thai Bird, and those wonderful hybrid peppers Marko sent me last spring.Called Slovnovo uvo,Palanacko Cuda Also 5 kinds of Basil, Rosemary,Dill. Parsley and Chervil.

Peppers and basil require warmer soil (80 - 85*F) for germinating than do tomato seeds (68 - 75*).

In my case the hot pepper seeds germinated about twenty days ahead of the sweet pepper seeds even though they were planted at the same time and kept in the same spot. I'm now wishing I had started the sweet ones even earlier!
