atlantic broccoli

anyone ever grow this variety? sand hill has it so i'm going to try it vs de cicco and see how it does. i put out plants in mid may and grow them all summer into mid october. broccoli does well even into the upper 90's if you water it. i was surprised by this since we typically think of it as a cool weather crop. one year it was in the 90's a lot even upper 90's it was brutal heat and i had the best side shoots from calabrese green sprouting ever, some were 2.5" to 3" across! hoping atlantic will be good enough to replace de cicco.

We're almost on the same page. I was going to trial De Cicco vs. Major (F1) this year. Then the Sand Hill free sample arrived. So, it's going to be De Cicco vs. Major vs. Atlantic, for me.
