Brad's Atomic Grape - Tastes way better than it looks - Will definitely grow again. Mine do not get the reddish look shown on the pictures. Very prolific and not huge for a cherry plant.

Esterina - The BEST!!! Lives up to the hype.

Lizzano - Grew in Fall, determinate/semi-determinate so done, LOVED especially the small plant; tried growing saved seeds F2s but didn't match the F1s. Was far more determinate than the F1s. I didn't think it tasted as good either.

Maglia Rosa - Grew in fall, but determinate and done - plant pulled

Purple Bumble Bee - Haven't eaten too many; mine took a long time to ripen but seems very prolific. Excellent hang time on plant.

SunGold - Sowed in August; still going strong!

ETA: I forgot to add: Green Bee - this is the new release from Fred Hempel that has super long shelf life. Received the seeds super late in the season (March) but sacrificed a few seeds to try. Have one healthy plant with lots of flowers and small tomatoes.

Gardener - How do the F2 Esterina's compare to the F1s?
Not impressed with the looks of Brads Atomic? I'm surprised, any striping or antho? The reddish color for me only showed when really ripe, similar to lucky tiger. I agree, very prolific and small in stature compared to most cherries.

Great varieties, folks.
I had not even heard the name of many of them.
It would be nice to post pictures ( when they ripen) and give a short review.
I will try to do that myself, as I get ripe fruits .
So far SunGold:
It is pretty much a household name: I like its earliness ( 90 days from seed) , its taste ( I like'm sweet or slightly tangy). It is also a good producer. Just got to pick them early to avoid splitting.

I will do the next one when it ripens up.

Nan & decherdt, I agree that Black Cherry is wonderful in so many ways. It out produces anything in the shadiest parts of my garden (will have to try Yellow Pear in partial shade also). I wasn't going to grow it this year but sowed some seed for practice in grafting. Of course, the germination rate was high, the growth was quick and sturdy, and it took to grafting great.

It's the only tomato that I constantly munch on in the garden.

This year, I have in and growing:

Esterina
Sungold
Ron's Carbon Copy
Maglia Rosa (container)
Blush (good fruit set so far from what started out as a delicate looking plant)
Galina's
Isis Candy
Pink Princess

Fruit set on all of them. Cool and wet lately - but 80s returning this week.

I just picked a Sun Gold , washed it, ate it.
Delightful. But really not that sweet. I liked it that way though.

Black Cherries are just hanging there green. I have a feeling that some of my beefsteaks are going to beat them.

This year:
Sunsugar
Sun Gold
Blush
Jaune Flammee (saladette)
Ron's Carbon Copy
Verde Claro

The only one on this list I have grown before is Sunsugar. I will let you know how they come out. It's still chilly here so no fruit yet.

This year, I got seedlings for..

Black Opal
Cherri Rosa
Cherry falls
Ditmarsh
Esterina F1
Goldkrone
Japanese Pink Cherry
Super Sweet F1
Snow White

Too cold yet to even think of planting outside. I got Aztek on my window sill and also an unnamed cross, both already show fruits.
Glad to hear that Fox has been a success for someone, it's on my grow-to list.

Sungold is a staple here.
Tried juliet over and over because of its "all american" winner status. Done with it.
Tasteless, no redeeming qualities I could find.
