I've got two plants going. Had great luck with them last year until a rat also found them to be delicious. One of my favorites so I saved some seeds. No tomatoes yet for me but lots of flowers and stems like tree trunks.

Starting some seeds now for a fall crop.

I grew these last year and it was productive, semi-determinant, vigorous, and deliciously sweet.

Pit Viper has a similar taste profile, as does OR117 (less sweet than CR or PV).

Waiting for some to ripen now and trying to keep them out of my local Possums jaws in the mean time. I've got a BLT with these ones name on them! the big one is 4.5" in diameter

Those are looking beautiful.

It's really sweet, more along the lines of mango/ripe kiwi.

Thanks for sharing your taste comparisons and here's why.

If I lived somewhere where those fruits came right from the tree as mature fruits,that would be great,but when bought from local grocery chain stores where I am,not good at all.

One local ice cream place where they make all sorts of flavors has offered both mango and kiwi ice cream,but I haven't tasted those and probably won't.

I had two of first large ones. One "walked out" of the plant. Am hoping it was an animal although fruit was large and there is no signs of half eaten tomato anywhere.
If this is how my community garden going to progress human wise then my harvest is doomed. I intentionally plant "weird colored" tomatoes on edges of my beds for this very reason...

That's a bummer, Lindalana..
Perhaps next year, you might plant some boring-looking, ordinary reds around the walking paths, and keep all the tasty exotic ones carefully hidden?
Community gardening can be a challenge... One never knows who comes and steals what, or worse - treat the gardening area as their toilet .. (has happened in this town...)

My community garden has a nice looking black chain link fence and a pair of locked gates, also video cameras, so theft has been 1 person in the last 2 years; they stole 1 garlic plant, oddly enough, and were caught on film, asked to leave and that is that.

The community shed, with all the tools, is also locked- all the gardeners have the codes to get in, but theft has been naught except I think a squirrel or bunny is sneaking in- it likes to eat some of the tomatoes and cucumbers.

Generally, good fences make good neighbors, though there are those who are determined and those need some rock salt, <smile>.

I think this one is the largest tomato I've ever grown. I did a mix of in the ground and in 15 gallon grow bags this year. This one was in one of the bags and I'm sold the plants in the bags did so well I may only grow in bags next year. 6" in diameter and 1.25 lbs Copper River (this one is the top one that is blurry in the picture of green copper river tomatoes a few posts back)

Same here, my first one came to be well over the lb, others are coming more in medium size. Sure is nice to have few really large tomatoes LOL

I grew it over the summer and it looked like a very sturdy plant, but died from septoria and yellow leaf curl. I'm trying to grow it again.

I eat a lot of mango's...they are VERY sweet, don't think I've ever had a bad one, so I can appreciate your comparison. Just got a few seeds and I'm looking forward to growing this one.
