I just started a new batch of Solar Fire 10 days ago and have 9 healthy babys.

Nice! Are these from the seeds I sent you (the ones that were mushed in the mail?) I'm going to be planting the Homestead seeds this weekend. You're ahead of me.

That's them. I couldn't even determine how many seeds were in there. I just scattered them into a pot of soil and covered them, then placed the pot in a shallow pan of water. It worked. Strong starts.

Awesome! I now have Homestead and Homestead 24 sprouts (started the Heatwave II's the day after so I'm expecting sprouts tomorrow) all from the seeds you sent me, too. I'm really hoping it's not too-too late.

It's the rain that always gets me. Here is the latest pic of the Solar Fire. Almost ready for initial potup. I put 2 seedlings in pure peat. They look good but haven't grown.

Nice seedlings! They look sturdy.

Rain...I wonder, because I'm using containers this year, if the rain won't be as much of an issue. (Crossing my fingers!)

It's worse in containers.

The 2 I put into pure peat have died. I found something else now that doesn't work.

I broke up the plants in the original pot and planted them in the final pots. Now we will see.
