Default Uyababa pepper

Huntsman sent me some pepper seed that I think was Uyababa; I had trouble reading the label on the package so that is what I am calling it for now. This is a pepper machine. The plants were set out when I set out all of my hot peppers and they are towering over all the others. All 3 are over 6 feet tall and they are making peppers like mad. The peppers are similar in looks to cayennes except they are slightly shorter, smoother, straighter, and a little fatter. They are extremely hot, hotter than the Malagueta's so far this year. I would guess somewhere around 3 times hotter than cayenne with a good pepper flavor. They are the easiest pepper I have ever grown to pick. The peppers hang down in the shade of the plant and ripen to a very bright red and pluck off easily without breaking the limbs that support them.
I tried looking this pepper up and could find no information on it. I just started saving some seed from it today and will save more near the end of the season.

I don't have a picture of the plant but I will take some in a few days when there are some ripe peppers on them. I just picked all the red peppers off so the peppers wouldn't show up very good right now. I just talked to a friend that I gave a plant to try and he is having the same experience. His one Uyababa is making more than all his cayennes together and his plant is huge too.

Here are some pictures of the Uyababa pepper.
First is a plate with on the left Cayenne, in the center Uyababa, on the right is Malagueta, and at the top is Pappadew.
Second is the Uyababa plant the bar at the top is about 7 ft.
Third is the row with a couple of Uyababas the one in the back is about 7 ft tall.
Fourth is the fruit on the plant about 4 to 5 ft up on the plant.
Fifth is fruit on the plant about 3 1/2 ft off the ground.

I work cow manure, cottonseed meal, and alfalfa pellet's into the soil in late winter and then use Miracle Grow once or twice during the season as a soil drench and foliar spray.

pinakbet, if we can't find alfalfa pellets, we can always buy hamster food, the pelletized hamster food afaik is made out of mostly alfalfa and corn. that will be a nice replacement for alfalfa pellets.

I've just about gotten all the peppers that I need for my sauce off of the plants now and will be pulling them up in the next couple of weeks to make room for fall crops. If anyone wants seed from the Uyababa let me know soon, so I will know how many to save.
