Default Blue and zebras?

I'm looking for a good source for different type of blue tomatoes. I've never seen them and I'd like to try them. Also, I'd like to find a better source for green zebras (my favorite). I would prefer getting plants, as I don't have any good way to grow seeds until the middle of May. But, I'll take seeds if that's all I can get.

I don't know how close you are to her or if she grows what you want.
http://knapps-fresh-vegies.netfirms....to-plants.html She is a member here Wi-sunflower.

For where to get seed from the first source to look at is Tatianna's. Tania here on Tomatoville.

Green Zebra is available this year from 29 vendors.

Blue tomato seed.

Indigo Rose is the first official release of a blue tomato from the breeding program at Oregon State University. It's available lots of places as seed.

Then there is the source for some of the varieties.

I believe some, most, all? are works in progress, but so interesting.

Blue and Zebras? This is turning out to be one of specialties.
Case in point: Muddy Waters is an F-5 filial level OSU P-20 Blue x Green Zebra breeding line. It has "pond water" green flesh with some green stripes and streaks of blue coming down from a blue/purple cap. It has very few seed and it the flesh looks meaty. it has some of the tang of Green Zebra. The picture below shows a fruit cut open to extract the backcross to Green Zebra. I am sending some of that seed to Hawaii to grow the hybrid in advance of my visit to make more crosses with it in a few months.

I will be featuring "container friendly" blues and zebra types...some with cold weather tolerance and some blight resistance thrown in...if that helps. I must send the protoype seed to Hawaii also to fast forward the selection process. Next winter's offering will be awesome!

Doug:

Thanks a lot for the links. Knapps is pretty close to me.

Tom:

Your stuff is amazing! Container friendly would be nice, I grow everything in Earthboxes.

When would I order seeds for next year?

My webmaster partner in Hawaii lists new tomato varieties as they are increased on site in Hawaii. I would just check in from time to time as they appear. I am sending a batch of newly harvested seed, F-1, F-2, and assorted OP lines later this week. If there is really something you want, just ask Gary about it at tomwagnerseeds.com.
