It's about time I posted something - not online much at the moment
Here's a pic of my front garden beds with plants that I started early. All started flowering about a week or so ago. Each bed has 2 rows of dwarves and one row of indeterminates. The dwarves are all F3s (Zig Zag Wattle 1 & 2, Kangaroo Paw Red, Clare Valley Red, Warratah Red, Barossa Beauty, Barossa Fest 1, and Rosella Crimson). Indeterminates are Persimmon (Russian), Spudleaf #117, Dot's Delight, Russian Chocolate, Kentucky Heirloom, Childers, Green Giant, Mortgage Lifter Pesta Strain (MLPS), Andrew Rahart's Jumbo Red, Grozny '91, Gary O'Sena, Berkeley Tie Die, Volgograd, MLPS heart F3s (one is a large bi-colour heart). Tom,
Of course. Just one. There will always be a spot for one TYW. Unless Spark's Yellow knocks it off the perch. Then you can thank Spudly for that. However, I loved TYW last season as a fresh breakfast slicer. I also have Yellow Sub |

Patrina, I see you have your sticky cards up. I hope they work for you. I used the blue and the yellow this year and lost fewer plants to TSWV than the previous year with no traps. Good luck!

Michelle gets the prize They are indeed sticky traps, and both colours seem to attract thrips.

Great growing everyone! Keep up the piccies! Nothing to report here. The plants are still in their pots. I might brushcut my way to the veggie garden. (I think a machete might be more appropriate.) Then brushcut the veggie garden. Can't see much with all the grass and tall weeds growing everywhere.
The tomato plants in the raised beds (you may recall) have started flowering. So that's my bit of tomato news. Ps.: We finished our fuel reduction yesterday. Today is brushcutting day. With due precautions, of course, as it's a total fire ban around here today.

Progress report:
I have just found the veggie patch! Woohoooo.... Now on to liberating the patch from all this high grass and weeds. Are weeds and grass allowed to grow as tall as 2 metres? Isn't there a law somewhere where this is specifically prohibited?

Fantastic, Mantis! When will you be eating your first tomato? They look pretty big already. It's great to see you ringing in the tomato season.
What cucumber varieties are you growing?
