Garden buddies are so important.

How else would you know how to water?

Last week we planted.

This weekend we got everything mulched and cleaned up.

He is a great helper. Max is 2 1/2. The Garden started off as "Daddy's Garden!" now he refers to it as "Max Garden, I fix it"

I'm sure I'm going to have some "helpers" this year too. DS1 is 3.5 and will be in there like crazy. DD is older (6.5) not sure how helpful she'll be, maybe she'll keep the baby out of my hair though!

UPDATE:

Getting Salads almost every night from the Square foot garden! Still waiting on the Cucumbers, Sugar Peas and Potatoes. But the different lettuces, white radish, Arugula, Mint etc.. have been great!

So far have only found 2 weeds!

Nice SFG! Love the colors and textures. I use fishing line for grids so they don't show up so noticeably. Seems like the critters notice the fishing line and think I have some kind of trap setup. They tend to not dig so much on account of this.

I would also add that the mint is going to be invasive. Consider moving it out to a container.
