Getting nervous
My plants are ready to go out but this weather has been really crappy. Of my 50 plants they are all about a foot tall or so. We are having alot of rain right now and i'm afraid if i set them out they will die. Am I running out of time? P.S. Yes i did start them a bit early

Nah, don't worry. The weather will get better and your nice plants will catch up to where they should be after a short time. Here in the southeast of Ne., we are experiencing unusually cold temps...days in the 60's and nights in the low 40's. Our last average frost is April 22, so I planted May 8. I planted too early and nothing is growing yet. Just wait till we get into the 80's and 60's and everything should start growing.

Hedwarr,
I don't know where Wurtsburo is and didn't take the time to look it up, but I'm also in NYS and I'm also being rain deluged, and while I'm growing very few plants this year, this year and most normal tomato growing years for me I never, but never, put them out until about June 1. If you look at Accuweather the dreaded "s" word is even there for about May 24, altho who knows what the weather will be tomorrow, said Carolyn and she's looking out at sunshine right now. With your avatar and NY location can I assume you're an Americade participant? My paper is full of the latest demands from Dutcher, the organizer, and I wonder how long Lake George will really put up with him. Over the years I've met some really nice Americaders as they stopped their zooming to take a break and eat in several local places that I also frequent here near the Vt border above Cambridge and below Granville on Rt 22.

Thank you guys for the feedback. Carolyn, I am located in Sullivan county. And yes I am an americade participant but the last two years I have'nt gone because of work and home renovations. Americade is not what it used to be though. Alot of young, irresponsible riders have forced police crackdowns tremendously. If i go to Lake George now it is only when things are quiet there. It is much more enjoyable.
