I'll work on Canadian and other foreign postage at a later time.
We mailed 9 varieties in a bubble mailer the other day. Yes, it was around $2.67. There were already stamps on the mailer and we added $1.20. I asked my wife and she says $2.67 sounds right.

Priority Flat Rate boxen are free for the asking. Tormato could get a couple packets of the small ones. Then people could send him priority postage ($6 for a small FRB) and a label in a regular 49¢ envelope and no need for anyone to deal with bubble mailers at all.

Hmm. The easiest way is to print the full label, but that might turn out to be problematic. Tor?

I looked on USPS sites and didn't find what I was looking for. However, I found this at http://www.nerdylorrin.net/jerry/postages/

Small Packages / Parcels / Lumpy envelopes 1st class
These are padded envelopes over 3/4" thick, rigid photo mailers, medical samples, small boxes under 1 cubic foot. If it's not cubic but very rectangular, then girth + length have to be under 108".

1 oz $2.67
2 ounces $
2.67
3 ounces $
2.67
4 ounces $2.67 and add 18¢ each additional ounce, down from 19¢ last year
5 ounces $2.85
6 ounces $3.03
7 ounces $3.21

8 ounces $3.39
9 ounces $3.57
10 ounces $3.75
11 ounces $3.93
12 ounces $4.11
13 ounces $4.29
14,15, and 16 ounces were announced as acceptable on 7Jan2016,
but this is only for COMMERCIAL First-Class Package Service, not retail service.

One of the nice things about Priority mail is that the mail person will pick up the boxes or envelopes at your door. I know this as I used to ship a lot of stuff out for my ebay sales. You do have to print the postage, but it's easy to do.

The post office has free priority bubbler mailers. Postage used to be 6 bucks, think the last one I sent a month or so ago was now 7.20. Depending on your postal person, of which I have a great one, if you can't print postage, you can leave your package and the postage in your mailbox and they will pick up and put postage on for you. You can also call and ask for the flat rate postage stamp and leave money in your mailbox and they will deliver the stamp.

There's a FR stamp? I didn't know that. Thanks!

Like imp I did a lot of eBay sales, and you can print one of the big 4x6" labels right off the ebay site. (I believe you can do it from the USPS site too.) But you'd have to type in the address. A user-written label with a stamp would be much easier.

I use flat rate boxes/padded mailers for the bean people. The cost is somewhere between 6 and 7 dollars (one way). It might be over $7 for the padded envelope, currently. Participants use these because the weight easily goes past 13 ounces.

For tomatoes, peppers, other light seeds, and just a few packs of heavier seeds, first class and a plain bubble mailer is more economical.

It's September already!

So, who's up for posting at Houzz/Gardenweb a message (and link to this thread) about the MMMM swap? Since there will also be peppers, beans, etc...posting should be done in these forums...

MusicMinded (6b/7a) Oh, I'd love to join, but I'm still waiting on my membership. It's been 4 months since I registered so I'm wondering if Tville is accepting new people. Any way to participate from here?

I did tell him/her that Mischka had been under attack and that I would ask.

I don't know if there's a glitch, but I see the announcement post in the legumes and pepper topics on GW but not the other three.

ETA:
Tormato,
What about also doing an announcement on the Vegetable Gardening topic, it's a very active topic area?

The varieties I've been doing two separate germination tests on showed a 33% germination rate - I will not be sending in seeds saved from 2017.

I do have plenty of seeds to send in pre 2017.

What technique are you using to save seed Robert?
I wonder if I can help you some way. Fresh seed should germinate close to 100%
