Default A better Lycopene?

There maybe a better lycopene; as prevalent in the heirloom 'Tangerine'.

So says the link below;

Simmran1,

Thanks for bringing this up, I was not aware of it! I did a quick search and it appears that tetra cis-lycopene has been discussed here in Tomatoville a while ago:

There is an extremely interesting website that reports antioxidant levels in various heirloom tomatoes: http://treecropsresearch.org/heirloom-tomatoes/
It would appear that Moon Glow and not Tangerine has the highest level of tetra cis-lycopene. Jaune Flammee has the highest beta-carotene, and Matt's Wild Cherry has the highest levels of polyphenol antioxidants. Definitely growing all three next year as they are also considered quite tasty!
