Growing out a few of the Armenian varieties this year - this is the Yerevany Kangun 447. This plant is RL, has enormous almost rugose leaves, and has the thickest stalk I have ever seen. Like an oak tree.
I am guessing that its rugose leaves and very thick stalk mean that it is a dwarf. We will see as this plant progresses. |

Yes, Jon, in March in Yerevan I bought nine varieties of tomato seed, including the 1930s Anahit that was the main juice tomato for the Soviet Union. Tania has some of all nine, but wasn't able to grow any this year. I will keep folks updated on whether these toms are worth growing.

Update and more pics on 18 June. The Yerevany Kangun is beginning to fruit now, a little later than other tomatoes except for Brandywine Sudduth, which STILL has not flowered. The buds are extremely fuzzy. Plant continues to be extremely robust with enormous stalk and leaves.
