Default Fertilization with multi vitamins

This is a really offbeat question. Have any TVs disolved multi vitamin tablets (containing multiple minerals) in water and tried them on their plants? The multi vitamins seem to contain all the nutrients and micro nutrients that are available in retail plant food/fertilizers.

I may try a semi controlled experiment this spring and see if they make a difference in growth vs. soluable ferts (like MG Tomato Food). I have disolved aspirin and fed tomatoes and peppers without harm but saw no real difference.

Chime in with thoughts and experience.

Aspirin, an organic acid, will probably be decomposed within a day in the soil, so no surprise there. I don't think vitamins should have any influence on plants really.
Minerals will definitely help, but the chelated minerals in a good fertilizer will still probably be better.

I was using human iron supplement to reanimate a rose that was showing sings of chlorosis. It worked But in normal conditions I would prefer a fertilizer, as its much more easy to make a right dose.
