Default Burpee Organic "Sweetie" - Strange Behavior?

Not sure how to explain this - the vining stem is growing beyond the last fruit (e.g. there is *not* actually a terminal fruit), this is something I haven't seen before, but maybe I've lived a sheltered life, LOL! Not sure if you can see it here, main stem is towards the back, vining stem growing out from that towards camera. There are two vining stems here, both are continuing to grow (almost like a sucker) after the last fruit. All vining stems on all three plants of this variety that I'm growing are doing this. Is this normal?

Thanks in advance,
Gayle

Yes, it happens, for me quite often. I think there was a thread here these last days. It is a sucker. I always cut it.
