Default bone meal

The last time I used bone meal in each hole before planting tomato plants,
the next day there was crying and gnashing of teeth because a skunk
ripped up every plant to get at the bone meal.
This time I dug the holes and put in the bone meal but left the plants out.
Hopefully the skunk will realize the lack of goodies and leave the plants alone
when I finally plant them.

The plants are precious, been searching over 30 years for the type and I don't want them to find me expired next to ripped up plants.
That's no way to go.I knew 2 people that died in their gardens.Stress......
