How many run a fan on your indoor plants - Page 2

I run an oscillating fan as soon as most of the seeds are up. And rotate the trays at least once a day, so that the fan hits both sides equally. It does dry out the surface of the growing medium much faster, but makes a big difference in thick, stronger stems. I prefer to top water so I know exactly how much they are taking up. I can't help checking on them at least 3 or more times a day so not likely they would be left to get too dry here in my house.

I run it somewhat irregularly - sometimes for a long 8-10 hour stretch, sometimes break it up into 2 or 3 hours with an hour of rest in between. Might skip a day once in while, it all mimics nature. I turn the fan off at night, along with the lights.

I run a fan 24/7 in the greenhouse. It makes a difference on damping off and on sturdy stems.

Ok I'll be serious I simply run may hand across the plants.
Maybe one day I'll get to do all of this again.
It is something I really enjoy doing every year.

I keep a fairly strong fan on my seedlings as soon as they come up. I believe this keeps them from damping off and I always bottom water too. I grow seedlings in my basement where its 55 degrees and my grow lights don't give off much heat so I believe the strong fan and the low temp is what keeps my seedlings short and sturdy.

I think an oscillating (SP?) fan on a timer would be a good idea.
Even one going of and on several times a day.
