walk on the soil barefoot.
if it is comfortable for you it is ok for the plants.
the traditional planting time around here is memorial day weekend.
I cheat and have some plants in cement blocks.

I have two 2 month old tomato plants in a south window,they are getting buds already.
Their temp is never below 70 degrees f and on a sunny day probably much higher.
Their mates under lights or outdoors in the greenhouse get more light but the temps
aren't as high or steady.That may be the trick to setting plants out with buds on them.
The plants had multiple cotyledons so they are in the window separate from the rest.
