Default My fist ever tomato grow

First!Lol,can't rename subject title.I made a rookie mistake of losing my labels.I believe they are san marzano.I planted those, beefsteak & delicious.Only one kind lived. The one in the yellow container, just transplanted it yesterday.Last two pics,A pepper growing in a 2 cup container & some carrots I harvested this morning.Kinda had to,hope I have the room next year. The carrots tasted pretty good.

It looks like you are making the most of your space! Those carrots do look tasty.

Is that some sort of lettuce in the background? It certainly looks like it is happy!

Exciting times for you, Smoke! Your plants look good and those are some very colorful carrots! There's always something to learn through our mistakes no matter how many years we garden and how many goofs we make.

Thanks all!The lettuce in pic 8 on my first post is raddicchio on the left,it grows like romaine.Swiss chard on the right.I'm a noob but,to me these are not looking like san marzano.I know they are all young still. But I looked at some marzano grows, seems like they would be getting longer by now.I am strarting to think now they are the burpee delicious. What do you all think? The last pic is a harvest of a burpee delicious, not mine of course.

My two cents is that they're definitely NOT San Marzano- you're right in that they'd have the correct shape even when small.

Thanks! They have been growing ok,one is doing very well(pics 7-9,pink pot)! The one in the green pot(same size as the pink one),only has 2-3 tomatoes. That one is dropping flowers left & right it seems.I took a closeup of a leaf in the upper branch section, the stem in the leaf has a purplish tint.

Idk why exactly it is dropping flowers so much.Phosphorus deficiency or temp changes, maybe both.I just put the black weedblock covers on them yesterday.I did it because sometimes I am not able to get them in before a storm/rain comes.

So I thought it would help prevent splashing & losing soil, last time they were out in a storm i had to lay some soil down last month(roots on top of the soil was exposed).idk if it will draw moisture out faster,I think it may do the opposite maybe. The ones in the largest pots seem to take water pretty quick.I had to water them yesterday while I put the weedblock covers on.I watered them 4 days before really good.

One thing I do not like about this pro mix ultimate organic soil is it seems to not have enough perlite imo.It does drain fairly slow & if I pour to much water at once it rolls to the edges of the wall & goes down the wall of the pot without wetting the soil(if any).Other than that i like it though.
Really hope I get to eat a tomato this month
