That is a great tip, thank you. Stay in the family line!

The most resilient of all Dwarves has been Uluru Ochre, which lived for two seasons in an EarthBox, overwintered in a pop up greenhouse. Despite the mite attacks and being woody and ugly, two full seasons of great fruit. I will take your tip and research the parent lines.

The only reason I am not growing it again this year is space... I want to try new to me yellow varieties this year. I haven't had space for any of the yellows on my list this year previously.

It is for me as well .....another member of the Dwarf project Grumpy line that also does well for me is Yukon Quest .....

I also tried growing a Parent of the above 2 ..Budai Torpe and was extremely pleased .

All these anecdotal outcomes are taken with a bit of weighting and caution ...as results may vary with the environment/culture etc.

But a rating of "most resilient " in your situation ....is something... I will have to add yet another Dwarf Project Tomato to try .....Cue up 2019 for Uluru Ochre !

I think I have my list finished. Now I just have to wait a couple more weeks to start them. Last year, I started some a little early. It worked out, because the weather cooperated and I was able to plant them in April, but they were getting rather big for the house.

Some are seeds saved from last year's tomatoes, some are from Marsha (thanks!), and some from Baker Creek

Cherokee Purple
Cherokee Green
Girl Girl's Weird Thing
Pineapple
Indigo Cherry Drops
Blush
Berkeley Tie Dye Green
Lucky Tiger
Barry's Crazy Cherry
Martino's Roma
Candy Sweet Icicle
Rebel Alliance
Captain Lucky
McKinley
Not Chocolate Stripes
Bear Creek
KBX

Edited to add:
Delicious
Rutgers

(25 cents each at the dollar tree)

Thanks, Linda. The greenhouse was free. It's actually the best half and parts from a nearby farmer's greenhouse, that had blown over in the wind. He'd used mostly glass, which was of course smashed, and didn't want it any more. My biggest expense was twinwall polycarbonate sheets and lots of silicone.

Later will be sowing the following; a few indeterminates for us* as well as a row of cherry tomatoes to be picked and taken to a local food pantry, some others for neighbors to plant, and a few new determinates for family to try in their mini-garden:

Blackberry*
Black Star* - maybe
Blue Tears
Candyland Red F1
Cherokee Purple* - back after 10 years or so
Daniel Burson
Daniels
Elfin
Esterina F1
Heidi*
Indian Stripe
Indian Zebra* - maybe
Indigo Cherry Drops
Maw Maw's Treat
Not Purple Strawberry* - maybe
Plum Crimson
Rutgers 250
Sprite
Sungold F1

Have managed to keep the numbers down but got carried away with seed catalog temptations for sure this winter...not just tomatoes, either!

Wishing everyone lots of fun in planning, sowing, planting, tending, harvesting, tasting, etc. this season!

McKinley
McMurray #10
Morado de Fitero
Polish
Rosella
Sweetie (the cherry)

Ok i'll try and do better to control the number of varieties...."Next year" ..LOL

I think it will be hard to manage down to 40 of the "Favorites" and 10 for exploration/trial of new varieties. That would be a commendable goal for next year.....
