Default Your favorite Muskmelons(Cantaloupes)

I am looking at growing four muskmelons, Cantaloupes specifically, this year and I am looking for some recommendations. I will be ordering from Fedco Seeds and Sandhill Preservations this week.

I have seeds for Hales Best and I am looking at buying Crane. Any other recommendations would be helpful?

** Note: When I was young I remember my grandfather buying truck loads of melons and then I would sell them out by the highway on hot summer days. What fun, really.

thanks,
Dean

I grew Halona Musk Melons from Fedco Seeds last year. They grew well and the taste was FABULOUS. They weighed 4-5 pounds each.

I've yet to try anything that beats Ha'Ogen.

I'll second Ha'Ogen and add Petit de Gris de Rennes.

I'm growing 4 different ones just to try. Appreciate the recommendations too. I'll try some next year. Ambrosia is mentioned often. These seeds were given to me, so what the hey!
