How cool is that. Can't wait to see if it comes true to seed.

This is one weird tomato now it is coloring up like a peach.
I'm not even sure what plant I got it off of and with this heat I may never see another one. All I do know is all the plants are putting out red or more accurately pink tomatoes. |

This may be a mistake I did some sorting of the vines and cant prove that this plant is putting out pink tomatoes too but I thought it did.
"I thought" is NOT good enough I deal in reality and proof not assumptions. My reasoning is the container I bought said Mortgage lifter. The same place HEB sells Hillbilly too. The problem is the tomatoes on this plant aren't anywhere big enough for Hillbilly. Time will tell. Worth |

I need to let a friend here know about a tomato variety that he sent me. I grew two plants. One has PWR or RWR cherry tomatoes. The other has YWR. The reality is that I need to let him know... %^&* It is a variety he has grown out for years. I don't like being the bearer of bad news.

Reading what you wrote about the tomato you grew reminded me of letting a friend know about what I wrote above. ...

Doesn't look like hillbilly pictures at all.
Here it is dead ripe. And no that yellow paint on my thumb nail isn't from me painting it. It is something else I am doing. Worth IMG_20180530_26283.jpg Last edited by Worth1; May 30, 2018 at 04:28 PM. |

It also looks like an Ambrosia Gold that is far from ready for marketing - that I know HEB doesn't sell, and the size is slightly bigger.

I have came to the conclusion that tomato cages are a billboard for deer.
This year I have decided to let them semi sprawl. Here are a couple of shots. Worth IMG_20180601_40106.jpg IMG_20180601_53874.jpg |

You mentioned in the other post that they are much bigger and ribbed. That sounds more like Hillbilly.. l love the color of it.. BTW. My lone Hillbilly plant is very compact and has just 3 or 4 tomatoes. I remember it was not very productive last year either
