China Mart
I was in the local store today and checked out their tomato seeds. They only had three varieties none of which I was not in the least bit interested in. they were from Burpee and the price was $1.50. If you use them as a second or third source or last minute source you may be disapointed.

Yes, I noticed the same thing there, too. None of their newer F1 introductions from the catalog, no Brandy Boy, nothing.
Seems to be the same selections at the Home Despot, too. There's a local department store a few towns over that carries 6-7 different brands of seeds. I was very surpprised to see that each of the racks, regardless of brand, also had the same varieties; Big Boy, Better Boy, Big Beef, Sweet 100, Roma and a couple of the usual early F1 types. I'm guessing that Monsanto and Syngenta decided that the world doesn't need much variety to choose from this year. If this doesn't illustrate the need to save heirloom/OP seed and share it with others, I don't know what else does.

I like the title of this post. I did almost fall over at home despots when I saw some Jetstar seed. I don't understand how they stay open in this town. China Mart, remember when they used to advertise that everything there was made in the USA?
