I have never seen a hummingbird here on zinnias (Rufus, Ruby Throat, & Calliope). Lots of butterflies, bees & syrphidae though.

I do see the juvenile birds use them here, quite frequently too but I do not see the mature birds on them. Could be that they are eating the thrips and not the nectar.

I have enjoyed looking at the beautiful photographs of everyone's zinnias and the butterflies and bees on them. I'm sorry it has to end. I've enjoyed getting to know all of you who post here.

I'm pretty sure I've seen them on my red Zinnias, but maybe I'm imagining things as I know that the Monarchs really loved them!
