I quit buying from Baker Creek a couple of years ago over a political stand they took in a promotion. Taking a political stand that angers your customers is a stupid mistake. I won't be back there again.

The whole "Ancient Watermelon" b s that Baker Creek is trying to pull annoys me...but not enough to turn down free shipping.
I will buy a summer squash they have today. |

Thanks! I have never ordered from them before. I ordered some Delicata Seeds that I meant to order a month or so ago.. always forget something.
Also, if you register an account with them, you get free shipping for the next 6 months on all orders. Needless to say, I registered an account. |

They could send free seeds and I would give them away. But I do thank the original tread starter for letting folks know about the free shipping. That is way cool. Worth |

I buy from Baker creek/ Rare Seeds at times. I do not care for the political things that used to pop up, but their prices were good and the seeds good as well. If they have what I want at a good price, I buy it.
The stories, the WWW thing, bore me as I don't like manure except in my garden. |

In other wards if you like X and I like Y then you will might hate me because I like Y but I will not hate you because you like X. But many people would not like you because you like X.' Then there are those that like X or Y and can go on and have a good time anyway. This goes on at work and even here. I deal with facts numbers and science not ideology PM me if you wish. Worth |

He was X and he was saying Z was a bunch of nut case radicals that blew up at a drop of a hat. I took up for the ideology of the Z people on one thing I believed in and X blew up and went nuts. But that is why I will not buy from these fine folks. He the owner disrespected my brother veterans and men at arms for my country. THAT I will accept forgiveness for or from or what ever the hell you call it but he never asked for it. So from me none is given back. The guy can vote for a toad frog and pray to a rock for all I care but dont disrespect our men and women at arms. Worth |

So I googled Jere and his wife Emilee.
Yep. That was enough for me. Glad they only got me for $2. |

I like Jere and his family efforts in seedsaving and promotion of old vegetable varieties.
It doesn't matter for me if he is religious or too political or not. This is up to him. Baker Creek is 20 this year. They have many very interesting varieties and reasonable prices. Jere is a very passionate yound guy running so many important projects in his 36! We had several seed trades and I highly support his struggle against GMO food. Jere and Emilee is a great looking family with their 2 beautiful girls. I wish them good luck with all their activities!
